Why I Started My WordPress Journey
It all began while I was taking a bath, watching a random YouTube video about WordPress.
Something just clicked.
The moment I got out of the tub, I signed up right away — no hesitation.
That’s very me.
As an ESTP, I’m the type who acts first and figures things out later.
If something sparks my curiosity, I just do it.
I’ve blogged on and off before,
but never really stuck with it.
This time feels different.
I’m starting lightheartedly,
but deep down, I’d love to publish a book someday.
That dream alone is enough to keep me writing again.
What if my records turn into a pipeline?
These days, sharing your thoughts online isn’t just a hobby —
it can actually become a stream of income.
By documenting my life and insights,
I could build something meaningful that helps others
and maybe even brings in a bit of passive income.
I’ve always believed that intellectual property is the best kind of pension.
The idea that my words and ideas
can continue to hold value over time —
that’s the kind of future that motivates me.
So this time, I’ve made a promise to myself:
even if it’s just one hour a day,
I’ll spend it writing, posting, or polishing my content on WordPress.
How I Got Started with WordPress
- Go to the official site: wordpress.com
- Click “Get started.”
- Enter your email, username, and password.
- Choose a domain name.
- I picked one that felt personal and meaningful.
If you ever plan to turn your blog into a brand,
this step really matters.
- I picked one that felt personal and meaningful.
- Pick a theme.
- Don’t overthink it at first — go with a simple one.
You can always change it later once your style evolves.
- Don’t overthink it at first — go with a simple one.
- Write your first post!
- Don’t aim for perfection. Just start writing what’s on your mind.
That’s it — in just a few steps, I had my own blog space up and running.
It’s surprisingly easy once you just start.
My Small Goal
“One hour a day, consistently.”
I believe small habits can change the future.
By this time next year,
I want to look back and say,
“I’m so glad I started.”
This is my first record on WordPress,
and the beginning of something new.
It started on a whim,
but this time, I’m in it for the long run.
Better mom, better me.
